Welcome to the first “Summer Music Challenge!” I will be picking five challenging songs our of your piano books and you will have until the end of summer (August 3rd if you come on Monday, August 4th if you come on Tuesday) to memorize them. After you memorize them you will have one chance to play them for me perfectly–no mistakes! If you tackle that challenge you will win a $10 gift card to either Wal-Mart, Starbucks, or Scoops Ice Cream. On Thursday, August 6th there will be a “Pizza and Piano” party at my house for everyone who participated in the challenge. Everyone will get a chance to play some of their favorite challenge songs for the other students, then we’ll celebrate with pizza!
